Pet Training and Behavior
Ashton brings with her a great deal of experience from her time w
orking first as a shelter volunteer and then as a Veterinary Assistant! She witnessed many families struggling with their dogs’ behavior and, in severe cases considering re-homing the dog. She knew that with consistent behavior training
these dogs could stay in their loving homes. So, she began to explore how to help by becoming a Behavior Consultant and Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Before working with Animals, Ashton honed her human training skills as a Certified Personal Trainer. She still enjoys leading indoor cycling classes at a local KC establishment.
Ashton had been married to her husband, Charles, for 5 years and have two dogs. Rey, a rescue, and the cutest mutt you ever saw, and Rue, a small poodle mix who would cuddle all day every day if she could. They LOVE to travel, explore new restaurants around KC, spend time with friends and family, and watch movies at home with the dogs.
