Megan Bender, B.A., CPDT-KA

Madeleine Kattan, B.S.M.

Madeleine graduated from Tulane University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. While studying at Tulane, Madeleine volunteered at multiple dog rescue organizations and fostered her own rescue senior year in which she was first exposed to working with dogs experiencing behavioral issues. One of the highlights of earning her psychology minor was completing a Comparative Animal Behavior course in which she learned the foundations of operant conditioning.

Madeleine has been an adamant animal lover since she was a child and has always been obsessed with dogs. She is passionate about dog psychology and loves learning more to understand the behavior of the animals around her each day. She loves working with families and children and can’t wait to help people strengthen their bonds with the pets in their lives.

Prior to Beyond the Dog, Madeleine had various marketing roles and worked in the oil and gas industry but is thrilled to now be a part of the animal world. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio but is slowly adapting to the Houston heat. She currently lives with her boyfriend and her rescue/best friend, Nola. Madeleine is a huge foodie and loves photography, travel, mindfulness, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
