Alexandra Malone, M.S., CPDT-KA
Alexandra brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Beyond the Dog team! Along with an MBA from Europe, she holds Masters degrees in both Psychology and Anthrozoology and has been around dogs and other animals most of her life!
Prior to her time as a trainer, Alexandra had a highly successful career in business and also worked as a veterinary technician and boarding manager where she learned to work with anxious and fearful animals. She is a Level 2 certified Fear Free Professional and Low Stress Handling Silver Certified Professional which is apparent in her attention to the well being of the animals she trains!
Alexandra has a passion for improving animal welfare by helping their humans learn to train more effectively! She has conducted empirical research and is focused on the human/animal bond and its impact on both owners and pets. Her philosophy is that through better training and improved human/dog relationships, the number of animals relinquished to shelters will be significantly reduced!
She lives with her husband and their 6 four-legged kids – Ka, Babaloo Boo, Roobs, Atlas, Meemoo, and Yodie. In her free time, she enjoys cycling and painting and participated in the MS150 in April 2018!
