ALEXIS MITCHELL, B.S., CPDT-KA, CBCC-KA
Alexis brought her expertise to Beyond the Dog in 2016. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation Biology. In addition to her degree experience, Alexis has a background in training various pets such as dogs and horses.
Alexis is an American Kennel Club (AKC) Handler. She has competed and titled with her own dogs in Conformation and Rally Obedience. Before working at Beyond the Dog, Alexis was a senior trainer for clients in group settings. She also worked closely with clients in a private setting. She even worked closely with guide dogs.
Even though Alexis has great experience working with a wide variety of animals in various capacities, she finds the most joy in working with family pets and their owners. As Training Mentor, Alexis brings great experience, knowledge, and passion to the team and helps teach other trainers too! Not only is she exceptional at training with pets, but she is also great at training owners. Alexis’ style of training is practical, structured, and fun.
Alexis lives with her husband, son and two sweet pups. Whenever Alexis is not training pets and families, she is either horseback riding, hiking, or reading.
